 Married to Trustee Kenneth Stokes, Sr. 

 Born in Denver Colorado on September 29.  Evangelist Elaine~ middle name being Grace~ was destined to have a calling. Elaine  grew up  a Baptist. She moved to St. Louis Missouri and then to Los Angeles, California 2 years later.   

Elaine attended CSUN California State University Northridge where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  Elaine went on to work a career in sales for over 25 years. 

Through Mr. and Mrs. John Guy  and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dixon she was introduced to the African Methodist Episcopal Church. She joined in 1997. Elaine has two daughters Miranda and Stephanie that also serve faithfully in the church.  

Rosemary Pyatt who was the Women's Missionary President asked her to join the Women's Missionary Society and she served as the WMS 1st VP.

Her daughters joined the YPD.  She served as an Usher, the announcement clerk, a Class Leader as well as the Trustee Board. 

 

In 2004, Holy Trinity AMEC merged with St John AMEC becoming St John Holy Trinity AMEC.  Elaine served on Steward Board for 8 years and as Pro Tem temporarily while the Pro tem was on leave of absence.  

 

 In 2012, Rev Mary-Jamerson-Polk married Kenneth Stokes and Elaine together they started a new life. Elaine had a call to preach which was later confirm by her mentor Pastor Mary Jamerson-Polk and Presiding Elder  Benjamin Hollins.  After several conversations, he gave her a license to preach. Elaine studied with The Southern California Board of Examiners where she received her Certificate to become an Evangelist from Bishop T. Larry Kirkland in 2014. Elaine Mosley-Stokes currently serves as an Evangelist at St. John Holy Trinity AME Church.
